TAMMY M. KEELE
Marion
Tammy M. Keele (White), 52, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Tammy was born in Cedar Rapids on July 8, 1965, to Richard and Kathryn (Tompkins) White.
She loved children from an early age
and became a nanny, working in Detroit, Mich. She then earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Mount Mercy University. Tammy joined Five Seasons Learning Centers, working in the before-
and after-school child-care program.
She loved working with children and was strong in her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life reflected her relationship with Him and she always was one who encouraged others - she always lit up a room with her smile. Everyone who knew her could see her positive outlook on life. She always could see the positive side of any situation, even when she was dealing with the medical issues that happened in the last few years of her life.
She especially loved her family and her two Boston Terriers. After her illness, she enjoyed going with her husband, David, to the golf course and driving the cart. She was loved by anyone who came in contact with her
- the children who she cared for, as well as any adults who she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, David; parents, Richard (Dick) and Kathryn (Kathy) White; brothers, Dick White of Des Moines, Iowa, and Rob White of Ringold, Okla.; and sister, Lara White of Edmond, Okla.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at
10 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
