Tackaberry, Duane (Tack) O.
Duane (Tack) O. Tackaberry, 79, of Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Panama City Beach, Fla., died peacefully at his home after a long illness on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
He was born March 19, 1934, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Olan B. and Gladys Foster Tackaberry. Duane graduated from Iowa State University, with a degree in chemical engineering, and retired from Penford Products Co. in Cedar Rapids.
Duane is survived by his wife, Sherry Dennison Tackaberry; son, Michael and wife Molly of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Annie Irish and husband Robert of Las Cruces; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister Mary Knock of Marengo; as well as extended family members.
At his request cremation will take place and no services are planned.
