Szabo, Terry Alan
Terry Alan Szabo, 58, of Postville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Winneshiek County Medical Center in Decorah.
Terry was born Sept. 18, 1953, in Postville, the son of William and Betty (Schroeder) Szabo. Terry graduated from Postville High School. Since the spring of 1973, Terry has owned and operated Szabo Construction.
Terry was united in marriage with Julia Rogalla on Aug. 6, 1977 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Two daughters were born to this union.
He enjoyed golfing and was a member at the Tri-City Golf Course.
Terry is survived by his wife, Julie, of Postville; two daughters, April (Aaron) Hanson of Greene, Iowa and Angela (Aaron) Evans of Rochester, Minn.; and seven grandchildren, Calvin, Jack, Sawyer and Brooklyn Hanson, Eduardo Szabo, Amaya and Payne Evans.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Szabo; one sister, Lori Szabo; and one brother, Lonny Szabo.
Family and friends may make direct memorials to the Tri-City Golf Course Clubhouse Fund; Caring Bridge; or a hospice, place of worship, or organization of your choice.
The family asks that no flowers be sent.
Private Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
