Sylvia (Pederson) Kehl of Hiawatha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in her sleep following a long illness related to a broken heart. Her husband, Tom, passed away in December of 2022 and Sylvia never could overcome the heartbreak after 61 years of marriage.
No services are planned. She will be cremated and placed with her loving husband in an urn forever.
Survivors include sons, Jeff (Valerie) and Mike (Chantel) and a half-brother, Arnold Pederson. She had nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Sylvia was born in Petersburg, Alaska, the daughter of Edna and Herman Pederson on July 24, 1944. She married Tom Kehl on June 10, 1961, in Seattle, Washington.
Sylvia and Tom loved to cruise and have traveled the world in doing so. She was loud and boisterous to all. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her fun and engaging personality. She will be dearly missed in our hearts by her large family and her dear friends, Kathy M. and Diane T., who she has been forever friends with since age 2.
She now joins our dad on the great cruise ship in heaven. BON VOYAGE
