Swales, Beverly Ann
Beverly Ann Swales, 81, of Strawberry Point, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home of a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the church and also an hour before services Thursday at the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Ronda (Dennis) Happel of Waverly, Renee (Dan) Sweeney of South Lake, Texas, and Rita (Paul Ciha) Swales of Lisbon; four sons, Richard (Deb) Swales of Des Moines, Randall (Barb) Swales, Rodney (Kim Bruess) Swales and Roger (Alane) Swales all of Strawberry Point; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Beverly was born July 10, 1929, in Strawberry Point, to Willoughby and Anita Luckhardt MacTaggart. She married Earl R. Swales on Nov. 27, 1949, in Strawberry Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home or the United Methodist Church.
