Surviving is a daughter, Joan (Bill) Enter of Golden, Colo.; two grandsons, Todd and Tim Millman; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud in 1988; and a son, Michael.
Viola M. Kleigle was born April 2, 1917, in Webster, Wis. She received her early education in Colorado Springs but graduated from the McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids. She continued her education at the University of Iowa, where she met her husband, Russell. The couple married on May 27, 1937, in Galena, Ill. They farmed in the Monticello area and Vi was a homemaker and artist. The couple also developed three additions to the City of Monticello. Vi's passion was art. She always saw the world, especially nature, with an artist's eye. Her works of art have been sold and displayed all over the United States and many foreign countries. She continued to paint until very recent years. Vi and Bud had a great love of nature and the couple designated their timber ground West of Monticello as a wildlife preserve.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Camp Courageous.
