Susan “Sue” May Blood, 86, of Marion, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. Per her wishes she has been cremated. At this time the family will have a private graveside service.

She married Richard Carl Blood, June 11, 1955. Sue’s greatest love was family, as a homemaker who raised four children, even taught her young boys how to play baseball. She loved cooking, baking and making clothes for her family. She always loved to work in her flower gardens, bird watching, and showing her grandchildren flora and fauna. She was also a good sketch artist. Drawing family, landscapes and pets. She went to work for Rockwell Collins, retiring after 25 plus years. Sue and her husband Dick, enjoyed motorcycle trips, and were members of the Retreads Motorcycle club. She later spent winters in their home in Merritt Island, Florida and summers in Cedar Rapids. Sometime after Dick’s passing, she moved to Terrace Glen to live out her remaining years. Where she made many new friends.
