Susan Otto, 57, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at First Federated Church in Lisbon. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services, Maquoketa, is assisting the family at this time.
Susan Denise Otto was born March 21, 1960, in Newton, Iowa, to Dale and Carolyn (Israel) Brenneman. She attended Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. Susan was united in marriage for 20 years to Robert "Bob" Moore, and two children, Shelly and Jennifer, came of this marriage. They later divorced. Susan then married James Otto in Lisbon, Iowa, and they have been married for over 20 years. She was a homemaker.
Susan enjoyed cuddling, coloring, puzzle books and playing solitaire. In her earlier years, she enjoyed cooking, watching TV, especially "Cops," and socializing.
Susan is survived by her husband, James Otto; daughters, Shelly (Kevin) Wells and Jennifer Moore, both of Marion; stepchildren, Michael Otto, Daisy Otto-Harper and James Otto Jr.; grandchildren, Kaysi, Abby and Braydin Wells; stepgrandchildren, Julion Falco, Aiden Shephard, Eastin Shephard and Blakelynn Harper, plus 10 others; sister, Doreen Conley of Lisbon; nephew, Joshua (Staci) Siddell; nieces, Kendra Siddell and Christine (Wesley) Strickler; and her five beloved dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Pearl "Copper" and George Isreal; and paternal grandparents, Helen and Woodrow Brenneman.
Memorials may be left to the family in her honor.
