Susan Marie Medberry passed away on April 2, 2024, at her home.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Sue was born on June 11, 1949, in Denison, Iowa to Donald and Betty Cassaday. She was united in marriage to Keith Medberry on September 8, 1973. She received her Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees in English and Spanish from Mount Mercy College. After teaching for over 31 years in Shellsburg and Springville, IA, she transitioned her career to NCS Pearson where she retired a few years ago.
Sue was a devoted and loving mom, dog mom, sister and nana. Her grandkids and dogs were her comfort and joy. She had health problems from childhood into adulthood but never complained.
Preceded in death by her husband, Keith; son, Nicholas; parents, Donald and Betty; and brother, Don.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristy (Eric); grandchildren, Ruby and Kya; sister, Jill; and her dogs, Pip and Jovi.
Sue enjoyed reading and writing. She loved it when her grandchildren read books to her. Sue was a "dog person" and found her passion while obedience training with her dogs.
