A beautiful soul passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 8, 2023, at the age of 69.
Susan Kay Vorhies was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on June 15, 1953, to her parents Robert and Joye (Scott) Davidson. Susan graduated from Lincoln Community High School in Stanwood, Iowa, and completed her schooling at the University of Iowa. She worked for over 25 years with Wells Fargo in Colorado Springs and Des Moines. She married James Willis Vorhies and they cherished 28 years together in Cumming, Iowa, and spent many vacations at their beautiful cabin in Montana.
Susan will be remembered for her unmatched sense of humor and her huge heart. Truly, Susan’s presence could always bring a smile and a laugh to make anybody’s day. Besides the love for her family and friends, she also cherished her kitties, Starbucks, and especially her dog Coco.
The loving nature of Susan and all the memories she created with us will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Barbara Greenfield; her children, Lindsay Vidal (Alex) and Jeff Greenfield (Kate); sister, Nancy Haesemeyer; brother, Scott Davidson (Shauna); and several other beloved family members and friends.
Susan rejoins her husband, Jim; parents, Bob and Joye Davidson; and brother-in-law, Richard Greenfield.
