Susan D. Freudenberg, 63, of Marion, died Monday, March 21, 2016, under the care of UnityPoint Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Springville United Methodist Church, with service immediately following at 6 p.m. Private inurnment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Susan was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Anamosa to Owen Edward and Marilyn June (Rahn) Thomas. She was married to Daryl Freudenberg on Nov. 18, 1983, in Marion.
Susan worked for 18 years at the Olive Garden, where she was a kitchen helper. She had previously worked at Souvenir Pen and Pencil.
Susan enjoyed doing crafts. She was always working on scrapbooking, embroidery, making jewelry or other handiwork. She also enjoyed raising guinea pigs.
She is survived by her siblings, Sharon (Jerald) Hartman of Florence, Mo., Mark (Beth) Thomas of Anamosa and Roxie Enos of Springville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daryl; and special friend, Dennis Franke.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Susan's name.
