Susan Diedrick, 62, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Diedrick of Marion; children, Lisa Marie (Ralph) Sauer of Cedar Rapids, and Bob (Gina) Diedrick of McKinney, Texas; stepchildren, Michelle (Marlo) Weeks and Michael (Lora) Diedrick, all of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren, Jake (Allison), Makenzie, Brandon, Barrett, Kennedy, Gabriel, Madison, Kailee, Blake, Joshua, Kyle and Michael; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Buss) Bixby and Lori Wolfe, all of Marion; brother, Rick (Darla) Brandon of Marengo; and adopted family, Jim Bean of Marion, and Sheryl (Harold) Luthi of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Berta Brandon; a brother, David Brandon; stepson, Mark Diedrick; and granddaughter, Willow Wise.

Susan was born on April 13, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard "Dick" and Berta (Denbow) Brandon. She attended Jefferson High School. Susan was baptized at Trinity United Methodist Church. She married Mike Diedrick and they were together for 43 years. Susan's whole life was caring for her children and opening her home to other children.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude's Children Hospital in Susan's memory.
