Susan G. Borus, 54, of North Liberty, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. The family will greet friends following the service at The Kirkwood Room, 515 Kirkwood Ave. (adjacent to Lensing Funeral Home).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in care of Lensing Funeral Home.
Susan was born Oct. 15, 1960, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Howard and Lenore (Kogan) Borus. She grew up in Puerto Rico and later moved to Colorado to work in the healthcare field. On Aug. 14, 2004, Susan married Paul Jones in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also passionate about animals, enjoyed watching soap operas and Lifetime movies and enjoyed flowers and butterflies.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Jones of North Liberty; three stepchildren, Rebecca Jones of New York, N.Y., Craig (Alicia) Jones of Omaha, Neb., and Jeffrey Jones of New York, N.Y.; and a half brother, Seth Borus of New York, N.Y.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Andy Borus.
