Susan Bier, 79, of Williamsburg, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. A private family burial took place in the Alexander Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.
Susan Penelope Bier lived a joyful 80 years. Born 28 April 1945 in Alexander, Iowa, the first child of Arlene and Merlin Bier and the first granddaughter of Minnie and Chris Schulte.
Graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Physical Education, she remained a loyal fan of the Cyclones as well as the Hawkeyes where she acquired additional education.
Williamsburg has been her home. There she taught for over 30 years, engaged in her students, people and community activities. Enjoying all sports, she passionately played golf, was an enthusiastic gardener and an avid lover of animals.
Sukie was loved and adored by her sister, Jeri & husband Delos Hansen, their daughters Kristen, Katie, Courtney; her great nieces and nephews Sully, Ellis, Ryan, Wyatt, Lars, Aleks, William, Siggi, Gracie Faye, and her brother David.
Amazingly positive, always happy to see you or help, she will sadly be forever missed.
