Stumpff, Jane Ellen 'Jeannie'
Jane Ellen “Jeannie” Stumpff, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, after a long and rewarding life. Funeral services and burial will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Anne (Don) Thompson of Anamosa, Lessie (Bob) Fisher of Chandler, Ariz., and Mary Skow, Linda (Lynn) Rutherdford, Jimmy (Pam) Stumpff and Bill Stumpff, all of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Vi Schamberger of Cedar Rapids.
A lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, Jane was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Helen Beltz; brother, Jim; sister, Meta; loving husband, Ray; granddaughter, Kathy Jean Skow; and a long list of very close friends.
Born Jan. 28, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jane was the daughter of Frank and Helen (Low) Beltz. On Feb. 14, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ray Stumpff in Cedar Rapids. He died March 7, 1993.
Jane retired from the Prairie school system, loved her flowers, hearts, kids, grandkids and dogs.
