Stueck, Gene L.
Gene L. Stueck, 68, of Vinton, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Clinics in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Vinton Presbyterian Church with Gene Spicer, CLP, officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home and an hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Garrison Cemetery with military rites by Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post 57.
Gene is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharen, of Vinton; one son, Rodney (Angela) Stueck of Vinton; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Teal and Brody; three great-grandchildren, Kiara, Mariah and Chase; and one brother, Terry (Pat) Stueck of Holy Cross, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial fund has been established.
