Strovers, Paul J.
Paul J. Strovers, 89, of Grinnell, died April 26, 2012, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A memorial service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell with the Rev. Christine Tinker officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Legion of Iowa Foundation.
Survivors include six children, Catharine (Hank) Wehrman of Luzerne, Evan (Carol) Strovers of Sunnyvale, Calif., Dennis (Carol) Strovers of Gravette, Ark., Karen Strovers of Grinnell, Richard (Jo Ann) Strovers of Milford, Conn., and Nickolas (Gloria) of Virginia Beach, Va.; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona in 2006; his son, Paul II in 2007; and his brother, Edward.
