Strom DVM, Dr. Duane I.
Dr. Duane I. Strom DVM, 83, of Manchester, died Sunday, June 26, 2011. Mass of Resurrection: 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manchester, with the Rev. John Flaherty and the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Military rites by the American Legion and Honor Guard follows Mass. Inurnment at a later date.
Survivors include seven children, Deborah Frasher (Sol Pobre) of Las Vegas, Nev., Stephen (Viv) Strom of Pittsburgh, PA., Corine (Mark) Watzka of Sparta, Wis., Susie (Steve) Meyer of Lake Delhi, Vicki (Dave) Fink of Lake Delhi, Jackie Stuart (Becky Craft) of Wichita, Kan., and Eric (Ida) Strom of Little Rock, Ark. 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl (Dennis) Sweeney of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one sister-in-law, Mary Strom of St. Croix, Minn.
Duane was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, on May 16, 2008; his parents, Gustaf and Agnes Strom; one son, Michael Strom; and one brother, Robert Strom.
