Stritt, Bernice L.
Bernice L. Stritt, 102, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Deb Black. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her nephews, Ronald (Linda) Williams of Lynnville, Iowa, Gary Williams of Waverly and Denny (Nancy) Williams of Newton; and sister, Mabel Ratliff of Grinnell.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; brother, Ward; and sister, Leola.
Born April 15, 1911, in Lynnville, Iowa, Bernice was the daughter of Earl and Jennie (Young) Williams. On Aug. 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Clarence Stritt. He died in 2002. Bernice owned and operated her own beauty shop.
Bernice loved reading, television, music, dancing and especially her dog, Blackie.
Memorials may be made in Bernice's memory to St. Luke's Hospice or Living Center West.
