Strickler, Earl James

Earl James Strickler, 83, of Longview, Texas and formerly of Greeley, Iowa, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, Iowa, with Rev. Jill Mack officiating. The family will greet friends from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be held at Grant View Cemetery, Greeley, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Strickler of Longview, Texas; three daughters, Susan Kay Thomas of Kilgore, Texas, Julie Ann (Larry) Christiansen of Stanwood, Iowa, and Jane Marie (Jimmy) Rozell of Longview, Texas; two sons, John Jay Strickler of Longview, Texas, and Thomas Ray (Judy) Strickler of Mechanicsville, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one stepbrother, Joe (Peggy) Florey of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be designated to Greeley United Methodist Church, Greeley, Iowa.
