Stribley, Sophie T.
Sophie T. Stribley, 85, of Windmill Pointe in Coralville, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Windmill Manor in Coralville.
Sophie chose to be cremated. Her family will greet friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd. in Coralville. Burial of cremains will be in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or the Iowa City Animal Shelter Foundation.
Survivors include her children, Carole Brown of Iowa City and Steve Stribley of Coralville; a granddaughter, Marni Sophean Brown of Coralville; two brothers, Edmond Nowakowski of Los Angeles and Walter Nowakowski of Morro Bay, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001.
