Streight, Marilyn L.

Marilyn L. Streight, 64, of Marion, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Marion Village, 700 35th St., Marion. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; a son, Mark; two grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Mager and Allison Streight; great-grandchildren, Kaden Mager and Julian Patrick; stepgrandchildren, Deziary, Zachary and Cory; a brother, Gerald; a sister, Carol; a half-sister, Audrey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sharon.

Marilyn was born May 30, 1947, the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Van Voltenburg) Topping in Anamosa. On Dec. 30, 1964, she married Bob Streight in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a waitress, home day care provider and at Smulekoff's. Marilyn also volunteered at Apple Kids Daycare.

Marilyn loved her flowers, feeding the squirrels and her Pepsi. She enjoyed playing bingo and her dog, Shyann.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Marilyn.
