Streets, Patricia 'Pat' May
Patricia “Pat” May Streets, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, after a long illness at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Del Bear. Family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the funeral home. Burial: Streets Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Survivors include children, Pamela McDaniel, Sharon (Jack) Mulholland, Sandy (Earl) Hyke, Lori (Chuck) Robison and Michael Streets, all of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Bonnie and Debbie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Peggy (Hayes) Massey; husband, Tolbert Streets; brother, Tom Massey; and an infant sister.
Pat was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Maquoketa, Iowa, daughter of Floyd and Peggy Massey. In November 1949, she married Tolbert James Streets in Maquoketa, where they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. Pat worked at Collins Radio until she retired, then later part time for Cedar Rapids Schools transportation for special needs children.
She enjoyed gambling, bowling, camping and most of all she loved her grandchildren. Pat also loved tending to her rose bushes.
