Strathman, Diane (Martin)
Diane Strathman (Martin), 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Family and friends will gather from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (Bruce) Hamous of Cedar Rapids, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Fouts of Shellsburg, Michael (Janice) Martin Jr. of Shellsburg, Edward (Karen) Martin of Cedar Rapids, and Matthew (Malissa) Martin of Reinbeck; nine grandchildren, Brandon Hamous, James Hamous, Christine Hamous, Michael Martin III, Justin Martin, Christopher Martin, Amanda Martin, Kelsey Martin and Hannah Martin; and one great-grandchild, William Hamous.
Diane was born April 9, 1934, in Seneca, Kan., the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Karnowski) Strathman. She married Michael Martin Sr. on July 27, 1957, in Seneca.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael in 1987; and granddaughter, Sarah.
A memorial fund has been established.
