Strait, Jeffrey A. 'Radar'

Jeffrey A. “Radar” Strait, 52, of Springville, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, by the Rev. Joan Erbe, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Teri; her two sons, David Cole and his wife, Mandy, and Jimmy McKinney and his wife, Jennifer; Jennifer's daughter, Rebecca Nagel, and her daughter, Laneya; and Jimmy's daughter, Lexi, who Jeff dearly loved. Jeff is also survived by his mother, Jean; his sister, Linda McCleary and her husband, Dayle, and their children, Bret McCleary and Jaime Zaruba, and Jaime's husband, Beau, and their children, Cade and Ashlynne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold.

Jeff was born Aug. 7, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Arnold and Jean Strait. He married Teri Cole on June 11, 2005, in Cedar Rapids.

A memorial fund has been established in Jeff's memory.
