Stourac, John L.
John L. Stourac, 78, of Marion, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home. Private family services will be held. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include his children, John Stourac of Marion, Debbie (Russ) Gamewell of Baltimore, Md. and Sharon (Jeff) Wise of Cedar Rapids; and five grandchildren, Jason, Dan, Josh, Sean and Nicole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janet Finneman; his ex-wife, Doris; and three siblings, Albert, Joseph and Mary.
John was born in 1935, the son of Joseph and Mary (Vanicky) Stourac in Cedar Rapids. He married Doris White in 1953. Together they had four children. The couple later divorced. John worked as a machinist for Kwikway in Marion for 40 years. He enjoyed the Cubs, golfing, electronic golfing, NASCAR and crossword puzzles.
