Stone, Debra A.
Debra A. Stone, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Chuck Lillis. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Private family burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Randy of Cedar Rapids; three children, Melissa Jones of Meridan, Miss., Eric Stone of Cedar Rapids, and Renee Stone of Baltimore, Md.; her father, Duane (Mary) Peterson; three sisters, Barb McClure, Connie Peterson and Laurie Amick; and one granddaughter, Madelyn Jones.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley.
Debra was born August 2, 1955, the daughter of Duane and Shirley (Johnson) Peterson in Mercede, Calif. On Nov. 25, 1972, she married Randall M. Stone in Sioux City, Iowa.
Debra enjoyed her friends and co-workers, traveling and being with family. She always had a lot of enthusiasm; she was a people person who always expressed her thanks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics or Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Debra's memory.
