Still, Betty L.
Betty L. Still, 78, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be Friday, March 12, at 1 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home North Chapel, 2303 N. Second St., Clinton. The Rev. Ron Lott will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Rupp, Greg Petry, Jeremy Sweely, Jess McLane, Sam Parsons and Chris Sweely.
Betty was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Clinton, Iowa, to Arthur and Laura (Menneke) Sanderson. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1949, graduated from Mount St. Clare College and received her B.A. degree from Mary Crest College. She worked with the Study Connection at First Baptist Church and also taught Sunday school there. Betty taught fifth grade for two years at Tipton schools and fifth grade at Horace Mann for 30 years.
She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Still of Bryant; and one brother, Arthur Sanderson of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and eight sisters.
