Stewart, Lee 'Dynamite' Roy

Lee “Dynamite” Roy Stewart, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; son, Shane Stewart; daughters, Sherry Pearson, Shawna Kardaras, Stephanie Merritt, Salena Stewart and Stacy Stewart; brother, Jim Stewart; sisters, Vicki Thompson and Patty Baker; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lee was born March 10, 1940, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Harve and Katherine (Leeper) Stewart. On May 9, 1964, Lee married Linda Cooper in Marion. He worked as union laborer in construction for many years.

Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding motorcycles, especially his Triumph.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don Stewart; great-grandson, Jaidyn Anderson; and son-in-law, Joe Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family.
