Steven David Moss, 61, of Hiawatha, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, by Cedar Memorial
Certified Celebrant Amy Hart. A visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his sons, Shane Moss of Cedar Rapids and Cory (Tania) Moss of Hiawatha; his parents, Howard and Arlene Moss of Cedar Rapids; his brothers, Howard (Terry) Moss of West Branch, Rick (Kathi) Moss of Cedar Rapids and Gary (Joy) Moss of Farmington, Ill.; and grandchildren, Mat and Sarah Kaas.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a grandson, Cory S. Moss.
Steven was born Jan. 17, 1954, in Cedar Rapids. He was employed with Iowa Electric. Steven enjoyed drag racing and tinkering in the garage, watching NASCAR, scootering down the trail during the summer months and listening to his music.
He was well known to modify everything that didn't necessarily need to be modified and making a significant impression on everyone he met. His disabilities never held him back and would always say "it could be worse" even during his last days.
