STEVEN CRAIG ANDERSON
Shellsburg
Steven Craig Anderson was born in Vinton, Iowa, on Aug. 26, 1953. Steve's father, Paul, was so proud to have a son he carried Steve out to the car and left Helen inside.
Steve graduated from Vinton High School in 1971. Steve lived an adventurous life after graduation, traveling cross-country, but ended up back in Iowa, farming with his father.
Steve farmed until the mid-1990s, when he used up one of his nine lives and survived a serious farming accident.
After his retirement from farming, he spent his later years back on the family farm with his dogs and horses.
Steve is survived by his children, Jackie Anderson and her daughter, Shae Rich; Jacob Anderson and his wife, Beth, and their daughter, Caroline; his stepson, Bishop Hite; his mother, Helen Anderson; his sister, Karen Barnotes and her husband, Mike; his sister, Judy Tooley; his nephew, Casey Prince, his wife Lindsay and their daughters, Eloise and Phoebe; his nephew, Salim Abed; and his best friends, Emma, John Henry, Brady and Buster. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Anderson; and his best friend, Harland, affectionately known as the Teeny Weenie.
A visitation will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton on Monday, March 12, 2018, from 2 to 5 p.m. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.iowacremation.com under Obituaries.
