Steve D. Weaver, 48, of Cedar Rapids, died Oct. 18, 2015. Private services will be held per the family's wishes at Teahen Funeral Home.
Steve is survived by his wife, Brenda; three children, Zach (Katrina) of Marion, and Chloe and Sam, both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Zaden; father, John of Marion; mother, Pam McLellan of Cedar Rapids; and grandma, Eunice Jacobs of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his stillborn sister, Diane Lynn; stepfather, Harold McLellan; stepmother, Judith Weaver; grandfather, Crandle Weaver; and Delmar and Ruby Weeks.
Steve was born on Dec. 20, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Pamela Weeks Weaver. He married Brenda Marie Kelchen on Sept. 21, 1996, in Hopkinton.
When Steve wasn't spending time with his family, he loved to golf and watch NASCAR. He also loved to fiddle with his guitar and express himself in music. Any other spare moment of his time was spent perfecting his craft of cooking and grilling. He was a master with the meat. Many memories from all of his nieces and nephews are of him goofing around and making them all laugh with his crazy baby and dog noises.
