Steve Roethler, 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life: 3 to 7 p.m. with sharing time to begin at 6 p.m., Friday, June 30, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Steve was born July 22, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Paul and LaVonne (Andrus) Roethler. He graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. On June 2, 1990, Steve married Jeanne Jacoby at St. Matthew Church in Cedar Rapids. He was a mail handler at the U.S. Postal Service for more than 24 years. When he wasn't working, he loved motorcycles, fishing and guns. Steve always had time to make phone calls to his family. He will be missed.
Steve is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Cedar Rapids; parents, Paul and LaVonne of Apache Junction, Ariz.; children, Jason (Kaitlyn) Roethler of Cedar Rapids, Stephanie Roethler (Ryan Lukaszka) of Vinton, Brandi (Jordan) Netolicky of Cedar Rapids and Victoria Roethler of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Aiden and Andrew Lukaszka and Kennedy and Jenevieve Roethler; sister, Rhonda Bales of Tucson, Ariz.; and his dog "Bo."
