STEPHEN "STEVE" SCHELICH

Stephen "Steve" Schelich, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be
at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from
4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home
on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 10:30 a.m.
Steve was born July 6,
1950, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Benjamin and Florence Schelich. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves. He married Barb Fuller on Oct. 3, 1981, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. Steve was an electrician and project manager by trade. He was employed with Frank Millard and Co. in Burlington for 10 years. In 2014, he retired from the Terry-Durin Co. in Cedar Rapids.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. Steve also was an avid Hawkeye fan, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Schelich; children, Lisa (Jon) Ivanovich, Steve (Angi) Schelich and Thomas "TJ" (Chris) Schelich; five grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; sister-in-law, Deb (Dave) Odell; brother-in-law, David (Betty) Fuller; and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial fund has been established in Steve's memory.
