Stephen P. Rohr, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital after an
unexpected illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a sister, Sandra; and many, many friends.
Stephen was born March 28, 1941, in Sioux City, the son of Herman and Ruth Rohr. He attended Morningside College and later the University of Iowa, where he studied geology.
Stephen married Carol A. Neale on May 31, 1967, in Sioux City. He was a licensed operator at the Duane Arnold Energy Center and retired from there after 35 years of service in 2010. Stephen proudly served in the Marines.
He was a real car enthusiast and was a member of the Cedar Rapids Corvette Club. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, rock collecting and especially time spent with his beloved family and many friends.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
