Stephen A. Mysak, 69, lifelong resident of Springville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at First Assembly of God in Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the church with visitation one hour before the service. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville.
Survivors include his wife, Beth of Springville; his sons, Todd (Stephanie) Mysak of Seymour, Ind., Travis (Staci) Mysak of Marion and Troy (Angela) Mysak of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Faith, Jesse, Alaina, Andrea, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Alexander and Lucas; and two sisters, Dianne Brown and Dixie Brady.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was born Jan. 1, 1947, to Henry and Juanita (Rickels) Mysak in Cedar Rapids. He married Beth Baumgartner on Oct. 12, 1968, in Iowa City. Steve owned and operated Mysak Grading & Landscaping in Springville and Mysak Farms. His family and grandchildren were his world and meant everything to him. Steve was known for his love of the outdoors and his good ol' boy street smart style. His eye for detail alongside his bigger than life personality was known by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Steve's memory.
