Stephen Francis Patrick Boyle, age 91 from Lake Oswego, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 surrounded by family following a brief illness.
Steve was born on February 7, 1933 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, and was the son of Eugenia (Lechty) and Francis Boyle. Growing up at 701 Oakland Avenue, he attended Longfellow Grade School, Central Junior High, was a 1951 graduate of City High School and attended the University of Iowa.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, June; his daughter, Karen (Lake Oswego, Oregon); and his son, Brian, (Cooke City, Montana). Preceding him in death were his parents Francis and Eugenia Boyle (Iowa City), and his sisters Joan Macksey (Oskaloosa), Barbara Feeney (Iowa City), and nephew Jim Feeney (Iowa City). Local survivors include: his nephews: Rick Feeney (Cedar Rapids) and John Feeney (Coralville) and his niece: Sue Feeney (Iowa City).
