Stephanie K. Carfrae, 67, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Steph is survived by her sons, Robert Carfrae and Steven (Heather) Carfrae; grandchildren, Jackson, Teaghan and Drew; siblings, Kimberly Fuller and Rex G. Phillips; mother-in-law, Audrey Carfrae; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and husband, William.
Steph was born July 4, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Rex and Florence (Brockmier) Phillips. She graduated from Washington High School in 1968. Steph married William W. Carfrae on Oct. 21, 1972, in Ankeny. They were married for 30 years before William passed away. Steph worked at Amana prior to her hotel service at Sheraton/Clarion for 30 years.
She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Steph also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her cat, Tippie Lou.
