Stelter, Susan C.
Susan C. Stelter, 57, of Independence, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Buchanan County Health Center. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Scott Meador of First United Methodist Church, Independence. A visitation will be held Sunday at Reiff Funeral Home, Independence, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald; children, Chad (Lisa) Stelter of Independence, Katrina (Jeremy) Lint of Des Moines and Drew (Mary Snyder) Stelter of Independence; her mother, Betty Jean (Wayne) Wilson of Independence; grandchildren, Troy, Matt and Natalie Stelter, Ava Smith, and Cameron and Madison Lint; and siblings, Steven (Pam) Greenwood, David (Sherri) Greenwood, Becky (Dick) Kimmerle, Barbara (John) Fischels, Bill (Darlene) Greenwood, Melissa Greenwood, Jennifer (Phil) McAtee and Eric (Tonya) Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cedric.
Susan was born Sept. 30, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, to Cedric and Betty Jean Greenwood. She married Gerald Stelter on Sept. 11, 1976, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Susan was an avid Barbie doll collector.
