Steffey, SM/Sgt William Dean 'Bill'
SM/Sgt William Dean “Bill” Steffey, 79, went to be with the Lord June 30, 2011.
He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to William Steffey and Thyra Nesset.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Colona; and son, Wayne Steffey. He is also survived by four brothers, Darrell Miskimen of Phoenix, Ariz., Bob Miskimen of Shellsburg, Tom Miskimen of Dubuque and Richard Nesset of McKinney, Texas; and two sisters, Joyce Kubik of Cedar Rapids and Beverly Andrews of Marion. He also has 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
His funeral will be held in Payson, Ariz., at the Ponderosa Church at noon Saturday, July 9.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in his name to Clothe the Children Fund, c/o the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Rd., Payson, AZ 85541..
