Steffen, Norma Rose

Norma Rose Steffen, 69, of Pearland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Eileen Keenan; and sisters, Carolyn McCann and Nancy Spence.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Gene Steffen; daughter, Ann Deery and husband Ed; brothers, Tom Keenan and wife Chrystie and Ted Keenan and wife Lynn; sister, Mary Mace; grandchildren, Allison and Blake Deery; and a host of other family and friends.

Norma loved to play bridge and golf. She enjoyed being around people and had many friends. Norma and Gene enjoyed traveling all over the world and made several special trips to Ireland. She also looked forward to her weekend trips with her girlfriends. Norma was affectionately known as Grandma to her grandchildren and cherished every opportunity she had to spend time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation and rosary for Norma will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Zapalac officiating.
