Stefan Watermann, 28, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, in Hamilton County from a work related accident. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, with interment in the Wayne Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.

Surviving are his son, Christian; his mother, Angelika Melchers; his stepfather, Al Melchers; his father, Jurgen Watermann; and Christian's mother, Rachel Woods.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Stefan Watermann was born April 17, 1987, in Lemgo, Germany. He was the son of Jurgen and Angelika Liske Watermann. Stefan and his mother immigrated to Anamosa in October 1999. Stefan graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 2006. He had been employed at Family Foods and Hardee's in Anamosa. He was also a package handler for Spee-Dee Delivery. The past six years Stefan was a tower technician for Tri-State Towers.
When Stefan was not working, he was spending time with his son, Christian. He also loved to watch soccer and followed the German soccer team, Dortmann B.V.B.
