Stearns, Lexi Nichole
Lexi Nichole Stearns, 3, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, conducted by the Rev. Ike Akabogu. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her adopted parents, Karen Stearns and Jerry Morris of Cedar Rapids; birth mother, Jennifer Morrow of Cedar Rapids; sister, Mariah Stearns of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Eliejah Morow, Ja'Mauri Morrow and Jeffery Morris, all of Cedar Rapids; aunts, Tara McCoy and Tina Stearns, both of Cedar Rapids, and Crystal Morris of Ely; and eight cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Betty I. Starr.
Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for the wonderful care they gave to Lexi.
