Starcevich, Anne Patricia
Anne Patricia Starcevich, 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away following a short illness on April 5, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at The Hotel at Kirkwood, conducted by Father Ivan Nienhaus.
Survivors include her husband, Milton; her children, Michael “Mick” (Linda) Starcevich of Cedar Rapids and Mary Grabowski (John Hammarstrom) of West Dundee, Ill.; grandchildren, Matt (Jodi) Starcevich, Marlo (Jason) Kerr and Megan (Nick) Zabikow; great-grandchildren, Chase and Connor Kerr, Colby Starcevich and Brooklyn Zabikow; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Michelle Starcevich; brothers, Ed and Jerry Vinton; and sisters, Bette Franz and Mary Hamblin.
Anne was born April 12, 1924, the daughter of George A. and Elizabeth G. (Behan) Vinton in Coffins Grove Township, near Masonville. On Jan. 5, 1946, she married Milton Starcevich in Masonville.
Anne loved her family, enjoyed playing bridge, music and cooking.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kirkwood Foundation for Nursing Scholarships or St. Luke's Hospice.
