Stanton E. Regal
Stanton E. Regal
Cedar Rapids
Stan Regal rode his Harley into the sunrise one last time on January 14, 2026. Stan was born on October 31, 1970, to Leland and Susan Regal in Marion, IA, where he was raised and attended Marion schools. From the very beginning, Stan lived life on his own terms - with heart, grit, humor, and an unmistakable spark.
Stan found his true partner in Amy, and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and adventure. They were united in marriage in 2019 and made their home in Cedar Rapids, IA. Their greatest joy was their kids - fur-babies Emma Ruby, Alex, and Jasper - who were deeply loved and spoiled beyond measure.
Stan and Amy were inseparable not only in life but in work. Side by side, they built Uniquely Crafts, LLC, turning shared dreams into reality. Stan loved traveling coast to coast with Amy, collecting memories, stories, and laughter along the way. And at quilt shows, well - Stan had a fan base. Oh, how the ladies loved him.
Stan’s heart belonged to Harley-Davidson. His love for riding was contagious, and he even taught Amy how to ride, helping her earn her own motorcycle license. Those parking lot practice sessions were something special - equal parts patience, humor, and unforgettable moments.
Stan was a proud and devoted uncle to Royce and Roslyn. He rocked that role fully, sharing his passions for motorcycles and drums, and letting them climb all over both without hesitation. That was Stan - love without limits.
Music was part of his soul. Stan loved rock and heavy metal, attending concerts in his favorite pair of Vans shoes. He was a self-taught drummer and a gifted artist who could draw just about anything. His creativity extended to his tattoos, which told the story of his life - most notably the beautiful portraits of his mother and father proudly displayed on his chest.
A natural mechanic, Stan had an incredible talent for fixing things. He turned wrenches professionally but never hesitated to help friends or family in his free time. His generosity knew no bounds. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Seegers Trucking for their unwavering support over the past year.
Stan held deep respect for the military, a value instilled through his father’s service. This admiration stayed with him throughout his life, and he proudly supported numerous veterans’ organizations.
Even in his free time, Stan found ways to give back, contributing to Parkinson’s research programs through the University of Iowa Hospitals to help others and advance understanding of the disease.
Through his battle with pancreatic cancer, Stan’s spirit never dimmed. He became a favorite among hospital staff for his kindness, humor, and genuine warmth. Even in the hardest moments, he wore a smile and cracked jokes. Stan will be remembered for his compassion, quick wit, strength, and for living life fully and authentically.
We are deeply grateful to Kesha, Melodee, Dean, and Susan, who traveled great distances just to spend one precious day with Stan and Amy. Stan cherished Saturday night cookouts with Robyn and Dennis while Amy was traveling - especially when he showed up with steaks. A special thank-you to Jess for making Stan’s 55th birthday party benefit so meaningful. Thank you to Debbie and John for your care and support of Jasper. To everyone who showed love, kindness, and support during this difficult chapter - thank you. These moments will forever live in our hearts.
Most of all, we thank Nate and Sheryl - Stan and Amy’s rocks - whose unwavering love and support never faltered. The bond and love shared will last for eternity.
Stan is now reunited with his parents and beloved fur-babies, Emma Ruby and Alex. We find comfort knowing he is also reunited with Jimmy, greeting him the way only they would - with a beer and a Harley.
Stan’s legacy lives on through his wife, Amy Regal, and close family members, Karen and Gary Johnson, Lorene Johnson, Reno and Allison Meeks (Royce and Roslyn), Sheri and Jan Miszewski, and Ferdinand Burda.
Memorial services will be held on February 21, 2026, at the VFW, Post #788, in Cedar Rapids, IA from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M.
Stan would not want those who loved him to mourn his passing, but instead to live fully, love deeply, and ride through life as if each day were the last.
