Stanley Park Cowles, 87,
of Chandler, Ariz., and formerly of Cedar Rapids and West Union, Iowa, passed away at his home on Feb. 21, 2021. Private graveside services will be held for the family on a future date.
Stanley was raised a on farm in Ossian, Iowa, and continued farming in rural West Union, where he married Donna Demory on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1955.
Stanley moved to Cedar Rapids in 1966, where he was employed by Collins Radio and Nash Finch Company. He then moved to Tempe, Ariz., in 1973, where he was employed by Smitty's Marketplace as transportation supervisor, until his retirement in 1993.
He is survived by daughters, Kandis Barnum (Mark) of Waxhaw, N.C., Marla Hostetler (Patrick) of Chandler, Ariz., and Jodi Nunn (Simon) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Lee Cowles (Catherine) of Gilbert, Ariz.; brothers, Robert Cowles (Beverly) of Ossian, Iowa, and George Cowles (Darlene) of Mission, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Park and Lulu Cowles; wife, Donna; sons, Kenis and Mark; sister, Delores Chensvold; and brother, Kenneth Cowles.
