Stanerson, Dean Staner
Dean Staner Stanerson, was born March 2, 1951, in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Edwin S. and Ethel M. (Vogt) Stanerson. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1969 and was employed by Mews Farms and Wilson Foods. He was seriously injured in a car accident in December 1969 and was most recently residing at Parkview Manor where he received the attention of their compassionate staff. Dean was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Conroy. He loved music and being the center of attention. Through all the years following his accident, he continued to surprise you with his boisterous laugh and a bear hug. Dean died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Parkview Manor in Wellman at the age of 62 years.
He is survived by two brothers, Larry and Julie Stanerson and Keith and LaMar Stanerson, all of Conroy; two sisters, Coleen and David Yearian and Barbara Stanerson, all of Williamsburg; nephews, Brian, Troy, Toby and Joel Stanerson and Cory and Scott Yearian; nieces, Bridget and Michaela Stanerson, Shannon Hummer and Stacy Horvath; 23 great-nieces and nephews; and an uncle, Walt Stanerson.
He was preceded by his parents.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the First Lutheran Church, Conroy. The Rev. Donald Dovre will officiate. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First Lutheran Church, Conroy Clippers Recreation Association or Hospice Compassus.
