Standley, Mary Lynn
Mary Lynn Standley, 89, of The Meth-Wick Community, formerly of Denver, Colo., died at The Meth-Wick Community on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, after an extended illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church Chapel in Marion by the Rev. Mike Morgan. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service.
Survivors include a son, Ralph and his wife, Vicki, of Marion; three grandchildren, Joshua, Meredith (Tim) Frasher and Megan (Simon) Peters; and five great-grandchildren, Parker, Macyn and Beckett Frasher and Coley and Stella Peters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 2008; and her brother, John.
Mary was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Peru, Ind., to John and Ethel Daugherty. She married Ralph “Glenn” Standley on Feb. 9, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo. Glenn and Mary lived in Denver, Colo., for over 47 years, moving to Cedar Rapids in 2001.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church in Marion, The Meth-Wick Community or Alzheimer's Association.
