Stallman, Raymond John 'Red'
Raymond John “Red” Stallman, 91, of Fairfax, died at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, by the Rev. Dustin Vu. Interment: St. Patrick Cemetery, Fairfax, with military honors by the American Legion Pekomy Post. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his brother, John (Marcella) Stallman of Fairfax; sisters-in-law, Rose Stallman and Erma Stallman, both of Fairfax; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Louie, Ben, Bert and George; and sisters, Luella Frimmil and Dolores Zamastil.
Red was born May 2, 1919, in Fairfax, to John and Anna Schulte Stallman. Red spent the last five years with Brian, Jean and family. They were honored to have his presence in their home. Red was a lifelong farmer and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and American Legion Pekomy Post.
