Stakey, Anna Minnie Butterbrodt
TIPTON - Funeral services for Anna Minnie Butterbrodt Stakey, 104, of Tipton, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor David Lorenzen officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Anna Minne Butterbrodt Stakey, daughter of Henry and Leana (Hillman) Butterbrodt, was born in Bennett, Iowa, on Sept. 7, 1906. She was united in marriage to Gustav Stakey on July 17, 1928, in New Britain, Conn.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Janice (Ben) Galloway of Harpers Ferry; son-in-law, Kenneth Mente of Tipton; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustav; daughter, Betty Mente; sisters, Ella Thein and Martha Vitense; and granddaughter-in-law, Carol Mente.
Memorials may be made to the Tipton Senior Diner in memory of Anna.
